| The commercial cultivation of fish takes place nowadays with artificial insemination. The quality of the fish eggs and also the fish sperm are subjected to wide variations which in turn are exposed to exterior influences which change during the course of the periodic spawning and up to the maturity or the adult age of the fish. This is why securing a uniform quality both for the sperm and also for a uniform availability of sperm, eggs and fish embryos for each point in the production cycle is of great economic interest. In addition to the purely economic interest in fish cultivation, there is also a special interest in the conservation of fish species which are neither marketed nor commercially used. Many species of fish are threatened with extinction nowadays and a few are now on the red list of animal species threatened with extinction. (Cites). |

Weltweit wer den die so genannten „Roten Listen" der vom Aussterben bedrohten Tierarten immer länger. Der Grund für die Gefährdung oben genannter Arten ist wie immer der Mensch. Ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste werden die vorhandenen Meeresressourcen ausgebeutet. Viele Walarten sind - trotz des Moratoriums (Fangstopp) für alle Großwalarten seit 1986 - nach wie vor in ihrem Bestand bedroht. Walfang betreiben noch immer die Länder Japan, Norwegen und Island. Japan und Island zu angeblich ‘wissenschaftlichen Zwecken’, Norwegen offiziell zu kommerziellen Zwecken aufgrund eines Einspruchs gegen das Walfangmoratorium... |

worldwide. Nearly one-third (32 %) of the world´s amphibians are threatened,
representing 1.856 species, and about 168 species are believed to have gone.
Additionally, at least 2.469 (43%) species are declining in population,
indicating that the number of threatened species will continue to rise
(Stuart et al., 2004). |
